In what order are skin-care products applied?

Toner, cleanser, moisturizer, after shave balm. If I use a moisturiser, do I need the after shave balm? What products are key for daily skin-care, as opposed to nice to have?

Never use toner, as it dries out your skin. It's a useless product. Cleanser is essential, as is moisturizer though based on your individual skin care needs- ex: do you have oily skin, dry, combination, large pores, aging, sensitive? After shave balm isn't necessary. For a male, a good regimen is to cleanse your face morning and night followed by a moisturizer, preferably with an SPF of 30 or higher in it. At night, you can replace moisturizer with a good night cream (if it feels weird to apply it, just dot it around your eyes as this is the first place on your face that shows signs of aging). You may want to use a mask or scrub once a week (again, tailored to your individual needs).
Reply:Totally depends on your skin type. Altought alot of people will tell you, the basic are, a good cleanser, exfoliant and toner our the key to a beautiful skin!
Reply:If you are purchasing the basics for skin care like a wash, toner, moisturiser you need not worry because that's roughly the order of your skin care routine. But I don't think toner is really necessary though. Just a face wash and moisturiser will do. Happy skin!
