What are some really good skin-care products & tips for my skin type... i'm getting desperate?

i have a pretty uneven complexion, very oily T-zone, super dry cheeks/nose, and frequent breakouts. i found that benzoyl peroxide works a lot better for me than salicilyc acid %26amp; i've been using proactiv for awhile now but it just sort of stopped working %26amp; i can't afford it anymore lol. i really want to even out my complexion, shrink my pores, clear up the acne/oil, and get rid of the flaky dry skin on my cheeks %26amp; around my mouth/nose.

What are some really good skin-care products %26amp; tips for my skin type... i'm getting desperate?
ive used proactive, but like you said, after a good solid 2 weeks of nice skin, you become immune.. you said you cant afford it anymore, and this is more expensive, but my toubles are solved-- go to the dermatologist.. i use retin A micro at night and a similar product in the morning.. they go together and ask the doctor.. just go one time to get the perscription.. check ups a bull, if your happy with your face you dont need one
Reply:If your skin has different zones, I would highly recommend the Intelligence line from Arbonne International. Products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the USA. An order lasts 4-6 months.
Reply:Use a wash cloth on your face when you shower--use it like a buffing cloth. Put a little vaseline all over your face and neck in the a.m. and p.m. after you shower--that is all you need.
Reply:OK YOU HAVE TO TRY A SOAP CALLED FLORA FROM NATURAL HERBS IN EL GRULLO MEXICO....IT HELPS WITH ACNE AND MAKES FACE LIGHTER AND TIGHTER..
Reply:I have had terrible combination skin that was oily and flaky and have found that the only thing that works for me is the Murad skincare line. You can google it. A starter kit is $30.

It is the ONLY thing that has worked for me and trust me, I've tried it all.

What also helps alot is to drink reverse osmosis water and aloe vera juice and noni juice (health food stores) I like L'Bri Pure and Natural juice that combines the two. Best of luck!
Reply:Go to http://www.acne.org and follow the regimen explained there, which calls for products that have benzoyl peroxide, but a specific percentage of it. It provides a list of several products that you can find at most drug stores with a range of prices and variety of brands. I tried Proactiv too, and, similarly, it worked briefly, then stopped working. I'd say try this and it should make a significant difference.

If you can't find the products page right away, here it is:

I am looking for similar skin care products around the same price as clinque? any ideas?
home remedy wud do...

Here's some idea

Water: It's true that gulping down loads of water will help your skin look its prettiest. "Water helps your skin by getting by-products out of your body," says Ryba. By drinking lots of water, you're helping your kidneys function better, which in turn helps skin avoid a sallow, tired look.

•Salmon, flaxseed, and avocado: All contain omega-3 fatty acids, compounds that help reduce inflammation in the body. That reduction in inflammation helps combat problems like puffy eyes, pronounced fine lines, and sagging skin. Be sure to buy wild -- not farmed -- salmon, to get the best fatty acids. Grind your flaxseeds before sprinkling them on yogurt or cereal for the most benefit.

•Berries and melon: Both are low-sugar fruits and help to make skin firm and taut. It's important to avoid high-sugar foods, including high-sugar fruits like pineapple and banana. "[Foods with a lot of sugar] cause your blood sugar to rise, which makes insulin come into your system and sets off a chain of hormonal reactions," says Ryba. Those hormonal reactions can make your body retain water and increase inflammation, both of which contribute to puffiness and tired-looking skin.

•Nuts and wheat germ: Both are chock-full of biotin, a nutrient known for making hair and nails strong and resilient.
Reply:Do you have Garnier Fructisse there? Try that my daughter swears by it and you would have a hard time finding a more blonde fair skinned child.
Reply:I use Bare Minerals. You have probably seen them advertised on tv infomercials. My face does not break out near as bad as it used to and the price is about the same imo. Plus you get a starter kit when you order that has brushes and everything. So it really is a good deal. I think it is around $60 for two colors of foundation, a setting powder, and a color that makes you look like you have been in the sun a bit (to be used very little of at a time) I just got my kit in February and I think it is great.
Reply:Estee Lauder. You can even try Biotherm. Both more gentle on the skin than Clinique

Would you reccamend the MILK skin care products?

I've heard they kind of lumminate your skin and smell really fresh and sweet. Also that theey cleanse/mousturize really good. What do you think? Thank you. *0*

Would you reccamend the MILK skin care products?
I've used their hand lotion...it's pretty good. Not familiar with their other products.
Reply:I have sensitive skin, and they broke me out!
Reply:I really like their face wash. It feels tinglyyy!
Reply:I've never used them on my face or hair but I have as body lotion. Actually I love their body lotion because it's really cheap and I smother my entire body in it twice each day after showering. My whole body is always full of moisture and my skin feels very healthy!

lucky nuts

What is a good line of skin care products?

My skin is acne prone and I have an oily T-zone. I need something gentle yet effective and won't dry my skin out.

What is a good line of skin care products?
Have you heard of Arbonne they have skin products for every type of skin. I am getting a lot of good feedback on these products and I myself love them. I have sensitive and combination skin so I have tried pratically all the products out there until someone introduced me to Arbonne and I love them..... again everyone has their own preferences!

The products are :

*botanically based

*ph correct

*hypoallergenic

*dermatologist tested

*never tested on animals

*formulated without animcal products or by-products

*formualted without mineral: occlusive oil can interfere with skin functions as well as advanced delivery systems

*formulated without dyes or chemical fragrances

These products are wonderful because they don't strip the skin especially from harsh alcohols and chemicals.

My recommendation from this line is using the Intelligence Line or their Anti-aging line that is great for Normal to Oily skin for acne there is Clear Advantage 4 system that works great too.

Did you know "Peppermint" helps to open pores and allows them to be cleansed from the inside. This means pores appear to be smaller giving you a more youthful appearance.

Reply:try clean %26amp; clear, it's sold pratically everywhere!
Reply:I have similar skin and use neutrogena deep clean face wash and oil of olay moisturizer - works wonders! Plus, you can find them at wal-mart or pharmacies for CHEAP!
Reply:Anything from neutrogena! There soapwash stuff is awesome.
Reply:Neutrogena's great. I also use proacvtive, but I stopped using it for a while because it dried out the skin underneath my eyebrows causing it to flake. A few months ago I started using it again but it seems to have lost its effect on my skin. I'm holding out though just in case. Good luck!
Reply:clean and clear this keeps ur face refreshed we all know there is no miracle product out there we are all teens but the least we can do is eat healthy drink water and use a product that is affordable that keeps our skin clean and oil free i probably have asked this quetion a million times : acne????????: lol i asked it today i got many answers and sometimes the things work and sometimes they dont but i do them all on the same day and i dont no which one works and i have no time to do them one by one lol i wish the best of luck to all the teens out there like myself but i consider my self lucky im am not as bad as others and i hope they find their miracle product maybe il grow up to be a dermatoligist and make the acne miracle product that works every type of skin just maybe lol well good luck pal
Reply:Panoxyl is the best.
Reply:Mary Kay - I started selling the product a few months ago %26amp; all of my customers absolutely love the results, especially my teenage sister, who has acne and an oily face. Let me know if you'd like to try the oil free makeup remover (it helps to remove makeup before bed) or the acne cream.
Reply:I just recieved my new Clinique Acne Solutions from ordering it online. I have always loved Clinique, but I started to break out and I saw that they came out with new Acne system so I had to try it. I love it. It isn't as harsh as Proactiv because it's soap/toner are made with salysic acid. The 3rd step is a benzoyl peroxide lotion and that's what really treats blemishes.

I have naturally normal/oily skin and when I wake up my skin is really oily. Only a week ago I got it and since then i've woken up with dramatically less-oily skin and my blemishes are going away and my skin isn't dry.
Reply:Why don’t try to use "Forever Living"? It's famous in worldwide %26amp; this brand is good for skin %26amp; health, my favor products are:

Reply:I have 3 daughters, ages 18, 16 and 13. They all have different skin types and all have problems with acne and breakouts. The severity also ranges from mild to heavy breakouts. I came across a product that is all naturally based, no chemicals, no additives and not toxic. It is very mild, non drying, and I have seen the best results with this product like I have not seen with all the multiple acne medications we have tried. (GIRLS) What are the best skin care products?

To keep your skin soft and keep it healthy?

And what do you use for your face to keep it from breaking out and to look nice?

Note: I have kind of sensitive skin and my skin is healthy, I just want to know different kinds to use. :)

(GIRLS) What are the best skin care products?
I use St. Ives, though my skin is oily. I use their apricot scrub every other day and wash my face morning and nights every day. The days I don't use the scrub, I use Dove's face pillows (wonderful things!). Once a week I use a sugar mask to remove the built up skin and surface blackheads--it leaves my skin glowing and so soft! As far as lotion goes, I juse regular old Dove lotion after washing/peeling my face. Nothing special, but it works wonderfully for me--my face is always soft and rarely do I have any blemishes!
Reply:I've always used Cetaphil %26amp; St. Ives usually.
Reply:The Body Shop aloe line is great!
Reply:I use the Clinique 3-step skincare system. But I modify it to the 2-step system. :) I don't like step 3 (the lotion) and prefer to use oil of olay only under my eyes, and only at night. Their system is great because their are 4 different options, depending if your skin is oily, sensitive, dry, etc.
Reply:I always use Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead moisturizer......it's really keeps my face balanced (not too oily or dry)
Reply:Um well there are a couple of things.

The 2 best ones that i have used an that seem to work are nutragena %26amp; aveeno.

If u want to make ur skin feel really smooth try aveeno ultra-calming foam wash.

Use a basic face wash %26amp; then use the foam wash %26amp; ur skin should feel super smooth!
Reply:Well for my face, the best thing I ever used was Proactiv. I have never really had too many breakouts throughout my life, but one time in particular I did, and used Proactiv and it cleared up within a week or so. It was insane. I never believe those commericals but for that, it WORKED. It can get expensive though...

If you are looking for something a little cheaper, I use Clean%26amp;Clear astringent now, and Noxema facewash - works awesome and I get about one pimple every few months *knock on wood*. In case age plays a factor in skin type, I am almost 23.

As for my body, I love Body Shop stuff... the scrubs and body butters are awesome, but you can get really similar stuff even at Walmart that works almost just as good, just doesnt smell as nice.

Anyways, I hope this helped a bit!

:)
Reply:Clearasil daily face wash= The best.
Reply:Mary Kay for the face and the body, they can customize for your individual needs
Reply:Dermalogica. I have sensitive skin... It's worked wonders for me!
Reply:i have sensitive skin so i use Vaseline it works and keeps ur skin nice and soft.I hopped that help u.
Reply:try using proactive but if that does not work on you try neutragina oil free acne wash
Reply:I like St. Ives's Oatmeal and Shea Butter lotion right now for my body.

As for my face, the best I've found is Sheseido. But since I can't afford it usually, I like Biore's face wash, clean %26amp; clear's blue toner (for sensitive skin), and a moisturizer with sunscreen (usually Neutrogena or clean %26amp; clear). Once a week or whenever I remember, I use a mask or pore strip (Biore's pore strips or Noxema's face mask).

Top rated facial skin care products?
We are number 1 in Skin Care AND top ten in Color Cosmetics for the last 10 years US

Try the Mary Kay skin care line with customized skin care products for acne etc. The best thing to with your skin is always to keep it clean as well as treating breakouts. This helps prevent breakouts and other issues.

There are five steps to basic skin care:

1. Cleanse

2. Exfoliate

3. Tone/Freshen

4. Moisturize

5. Protect

The Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser can do the first three steps in one. The fifth step is protect. You want to use an oil free foundation which our formulas for dry normal combo and oily skin are all oil free. When your skin is protected with foundation you can wash off the impurities that your skin catches in the air. The foundation catches the irritants and impurities instead of them getting into your pores causing further breakouts. Mary Kay is satisfaction guaranteed. So if you try it and it doesnt work for you you can get different products or your money back.

Also it is so important that when you are using skin care you use one line be it Mary Kay or Avon or a Walmart brand. They are formulated to work with one another. Mixing products not designed to work together can cause reactions in some people. ;)

To even out skin tone you of course need to keep your skin exfoliated but also use a solution like our day and night solution. The day solution has SPF 25 in it and the Night Solution has Vitamin A and E and more in them. These collagen inducing products help to tighten and firm the skin as well as even out tone. You can add in our Microdermabrasion once or twice a week to totally exfoliate and remove dead skin. The second step of our microderm set will return your skin to its proper PH balance so you will not be rough or dry afterwards.

I reccomend using products as follows but all skin care must be customized for an individual.

Timewise 3 in 1 Cleanser (customized for skin type)

Timewise Day Solution (at night use Night Solution)

Timewise Moisturizer (customized for skin type)

Timewise Firming Eye cream

Additional moisturizers if needed(intense for dry spots etc)

Foundation (customized for skin type and shade)

Color products (use all oil free and non-comedogenic)

Hope this was helpful!!

Any suggestions on skin care products for eczema?

My son, daughter and husband have it. I have been bathing the kids in Dove and using an ointment the dermatologist prescribed but it doesn't seem to work. The ointment also discolors their skin. I would like to try something more natural.

Any suggestions on skin care products for eczema?
Any plain oil- coconut, almond.

Care

* Know your triggers: Find out what substances act as triggers of your eczema. Keep away from triggers. You will be saving yourself a big amount of trouble. Sometimes, a food may be causing the flare-up. Eliminating that food from your diet can control the eczema without any medication. Weather changes, overheating, excess sweating, allergens such as dust mites are the possible triggers. Discuss all the possibilities with your doctor and eliminate them.

* Keep skin well moisturized round the year. Well moisturized skin creates lesser complications of eczema. Dry skin itself can trigger eczema sometimes.

* Don't scratch. Scratching will form a vicious cycle. The more you scratch, the more eczema will deteriorate and the more you will scratch. Break this cycle. Ask your doctor about any antihistamines that you can take to stop itching. Apply cool compress to soothe the itch.

* Avoid use of skin care products with fragrance, dyes, anti-bacterials, etc. These may irritate your skin and begin a flare-up of eczema. Use a plain cleanser and moisturizer to keep skin clean and moist.

* Avoid wearing any clothes that may itch. Cotton is best for clothing and bed sheets.
Reply:Me and my dad both have it, and his dermatologist told him to get some sun. Of course you don't want to expose your children to sun for too long. But a little sun could help clear it up for a while. It's the only thing that has helped me and my dad keep it under control. Hope it helps.
Reply:This probably sounds crazy, but my daughter swam this summer in an indoor swimming pool and something in that water made her eczema clear-up completely. I don't know but it could have been the chlorine. I do not know.
Reply:Have you tried Aveeno and Eucerin lotions and products? Me and my family have it too, and it works wonders for our skin. And instead of Dove, maybe try Ivory. We use Ivory sometimes, and I haven't had any complaints.
Reply:I have eczema as well and it always feels like nothing will help it lol. Make sure that the laundry detergent and the fabric softener are non-scent, that will help a lot. As for a natural solution, try going to an natural pharmacy or talk to your pharmacist, they usually know a lot and what actually works.
Reply:Try using an oatmeal bath. Both of my children have eczema and while it doesn't cure it, the oatmeal bath helps reduce the redness and bumps. They are sold in packs at most stores.
Reply:my baby girl has mild eczema and the dermo prescribed Epizone E. works from the first application!!! the ultimate solution is Zam Zam Water.
Reply:Get a copy of Adelle Davis's book Let's Get Well (Alibris has them). It has a good explanation of eczema and how to deal with it.
Reply:i heard that cream E45 or Aqueous Cream specify for that condition
Reply:You can assist your immune system to heal your skin naturally by avoiding using soap (shampoo, detergent, etc.). Instead, try to find a colloidal oatmeal containing soap-free wash for body and face and a shampoo containing the same ingredient. Aveeno or Equate both make those type of products. The other thing is to reduce your exposure to hot water. That means short (5 mins max) showers and no baths. Soap and hot water combine to remove sebum from the pores of the skin and deep into the sebaceous glands, inhibiting sebum production causing dryness and itchiness. Sebaceous glands are controlled by hormones and the immune system, which wheatgrass appears to strengthen naturally. Apply the Dr Wheatgrass Recovery Cream twice daily or more often if necessary. As well as strengthening the skin's immunity, biological actives from the wheatgrass are absorbed into the body and in time, the patient’s immune status becomes stronger. Please see the website for more information or ask Dr. Reynolds a question regarding your specific symptoms.

Best face skin care products for african americans?

what are good cleansers and moisturizers for african ameican skin. i hav oily skin, mainly my t-zone

Best face skin care products for african americans?
anything from the body shop
Reply:crisco
Reply:I use Noxema to wash and Lubriderm to moisturize. Just don't dry your skin out because you don't want it to become even oilier.
Reply:I don't think there's any difference. I'd go more by skin type, you know dry, oily or combination. My favorite moisturizer is Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference. It moisturizes without being greasy, and it doesn't burn around your eyes like some of the creams I've tried. I use Dove soap to wash my face, then I apply the moisturizer and then put my make-up on. At night, I wash my face and reapply the moisturizer. Try samples before you spend big bucks on it, though. Good luck.

Suggestions on skin care products??

I have blemishes they are tiny but i want clear skin!! Lets see i tried....... neutrogena, clearsil, green tea mask and alot of others but i want all the blemishes gone!!! Any suggestions???

Suggestions on skin care products??
If skincare products aren't working, you can ask your doctor to prescribe you birth control pills (even if you don't need it for its usual reason). I've never had bad acne, but when I went on b.c.p. my skin cleared up within weeks of using it. My skin has stayed clear, with just the occasional pimple around the time of my period.
Reply:well get proactive.
Reply:I've heard that Proactiv is really good. I have not used it personally but I have friends that have. You can check out proactiv.com or call them at 800-333-0153.
Reply:Contact a Mary Kay agent....I promise you will like their products. If the products don't work or you aren't happy with your product you get a 100% money back garantee
Reply:I see someone else has already mentioned it, but Mary Kay has an amazing skin care line. And she is right they do offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, as well as, individual service to make sure you get exactly what you need. You should definatly contact a consultant.
Reply:Not sure how much you want to spend but you can receive 35% off all products when you join as a wholesaler buyer or buy retail price with Arbonne. There products do work and I know everyone is different but doesn't hurt compare to what you are currently using.

The products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the USA

Best skin-care products for acne prone skin?

I'm looking for something that can clear up my skin both of my acne breakouts and open-pores. I'm currently using dermalogica which is great, but in reality i can't afford to continue with it. i want something like it that is cheaper and can work just aswell.

Best skin-care products for acne prone skin?
this is coming from someone with really bad acne

I have switched though many different types

right now i am on Amnesteen (Isotretinion)

i ued to use Tazorac (Tazarotene) cream and Clindamycin

just washing your face with Johnson-Johnson's Purpose gently cleansing wash can help

but all of these i think are prescription so u would have to go to a dermatologist to get
Reply:I use neutrogena. It's affordable and you can purchase it at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, other drugstores ;].
Reply:please try this... it really works

dot your skin with antibacterial handsoap

do it before bed and let it sit at least 15 minutes if not longer

then rinse and put on dots of polysporin.. this works like crazy and even when you get a break out it gets rid of the redness...

acne is infection.. and this is a quick fix and a permenant one
Reply:I use benzoyl peroxide 10%.It can come as a mask to cover them so no girls can see them.
Reply:Use products that contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Those two ingredient are effective against acne.
Reply:I'm not sure where you're from but here in Canada you can go to the drugstore or wal-mart and pick up PanOxyl face wash and acne gel, it's the best for clearing up acne. It doesn't contain harsh additives like salicylic acid or fragrance. It has benzol peroxide in it and it basically will dry up your acne. Trust me...I've been seeing a dermatologist for about 15 yrs . and have been on accutane 6 times lol.
Reply:I spent ALOT of $$$ treating acne, until my doc recommended baking soda.First, use a nice steamy washcloth and lay it on the areas where you need your pores loosened. Not too hot or you will irritate skin in part two. Second, make a light paste of baking soda (baking soda is a gentle base, a chemical opposite of the acid in the oils in your skin) and water. The paste should not be too dry/ thick, just thick enough to stick to face. Third, GENTLY apply to face. Do not rub on sensitive areas such as under the eyes. Leave on for around two minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Paste can be added directly to acne and left overnight. Note: you will NOT get immediate results, but breakouts should be significantly reduced, within two weeks Enjoy your new, improved skin!!!
Reply:nothing really works that well for me but eating healthier and touching my face less and wearing only eye shadow instead of a full face of make up helps
Reply:I have been using the Zenmed products for about a month, and I have noticed a change in my skin. I started Zenmed products 7 weeks ago and it's much better. I love the fact that it’s all natural and pure. I am Totally satisfied with product quality and results. Try it once...
Reply:I have struggled with acne for many years. I still continue to struggle with acne in my mid-20s and always seem to have a few breakouts. Skin Care Products- Acne?

Okay so I Have really bad acne and I have tryed a million things and I needhelp! Does anyone know what are some really good products and keep in mind Im a girl with a budget.

Skin Care Products- Acne?
I used to have really bad acne too. I'm 16 now, and it's toned down a bit, but not completely gone. Here are the things I do to keep my acne under control...........

*Wash your hair often. At least 3-4 times a week. If you have oily hair, your forehead will start getting more oily. That will result in more dirt on your face, and more pimples.

*Drink lots of water. You've probably heard this before, but it is sooooooooooooo important, you have no idea.

*Wash your face with warm water 3-4 times a day.

*In the morning, make this your routine. First, Neutreogena Acne Free Face Wash $3, then an oil control moisturizer from Ponds with an SPF 15 $3. Or you can use Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop. It's about $10, but totally worth it.

*Get out in the sun and fresh air. It makes such a difference.

*Control what you eat. You can eat, just limit on the cashews, nuts, sugars, walnuts, chocolates, and anything too fatty. They can cause nasty breakouts.

For an emergency zit, toothpaste works. This ONLY works for oily skin. It dries out the zit completely, so it will completely shrink it, if not make it disappear altogether.

Avoid using too many artificial chemicals on your face. Check out these super easy, amazing homemade recipes. Try them twice a week.

Acne mask: Mix 5 or 6 aspirin with enough water to form a paste. Add a few drops of honey and apply to your face. Wait 10 minutes, and then wash it off.

Well this is 4 your face its called berry smooth and it is for all skin types

What you need: 3-4 tbs. plain yogurt and 3 strawberries

What to do: Mash strawberries into the yogurt until mixed well. Apply to face. Leave on for 15 min. Rinse with warm water. Then dry your face. : )

This one is very easy: mix cocoa powder and whole milk together in a bowl. Mix it very well, with a fork or whisk. Put it on your face for about 20 minutes, or until it dries, then wash it off. It's like a clay mask.
Reply:Well I know a great product that works fast. I tried everything as well, but this really works. It is a soap called Asepxia...you can get it in TJ or anywhere else by the border....Idk, look on the web.
Reply:With a budget !!

Try Proactive.

If affordable go for Murads or Amways.

1.) Throughout the day, when your face feels dirty, use Olay Cleansing wipes.

2.) In the morning and night use neutrogena acne stress control power foam wash - and use olay moisturizer - moisturizer is VERY important.

3.) to concentrate on a single zit, use clearasil zip zapper, will dry it right - dont use toothpaste, it will just swell up the zit even more.

Skin care products...what's what?

Stearic acid, rentanol-A, torricelumn, C12-15, shea butter, collegen inducers, creatine, I could go on and on...what constitutes a good face cream? A good wrinkle preventative/reducer? Does anyone know of a site that explaines the different products without selling them?

Skin care products...what's what?
Glycolic acid is one of the best things to use on your skin that will help with aging. Glycolic actually penetrates through the epidermis because of it's molecular size. No other AHA compares. There are a lot of gimmicks out there.... so be careful what you use. Even things that claim to be 'natural' may not be good. You need to pick something trustworthy and stick with it. Lines are usually made to compliment each other, so it's usually best to use just that line. I have medical journals/articles that have proven studies showing glycolic works. So make sure it is a good line (unbuffered w/a low pH level). I use RX Systems and my face could never look better! Another good line is Obagi, but they are much more expensive. So good luck on your search!

Because i am thiniking of tryin proactiv since it only recently arrived in NZ.

Godiva skin care products whitening? Does it work for really dark people? I have ordered this product?
But really, why would you need to do this? Why would you want to bleach your skin. Look at what Michael Jackson has done to himself! You don't need to be anything but what you are naturally. But if you really insist on trying not to be so dark try wearing sunscreen. It is a fallacy that black people don't tan. I have seen it myself.

I have heard that proactiv is good for blemished skin. But it takes persistence. Don't give up too early. And don't be expecting perfection. As long as it can tone down your acne scars by half, if should be considered a good result, right?
Reply:What's wrong with being black ? that's a damn shame that you don't like your skin color....anyway I suggest you contact Michael Jackson, he's obviously the expert when it comes to destroy one's personality.

It doesn't contain harsh additives like salicylic acid or fragrance. It has benzol peroxide in it and it basically will dry up your acne. Trust me...I've been seeing a dermatologist for about 15 yrs . and have been on accutane 6 times lol.

Skin care products for acne?

In Middle school i had really bad acne but by high school i got it under control, im now a freshman in college and im starting to break out in my T-zone. I get red dots that never come to a head or bumps under my skin that really hurt. I wash my face with Neutrogina oil free face wash twice a day and i put on a medicated cream at night. Nothing seems to make them go away. Can anyone help me?

Skin care products for acne?
go to your doctor and explain this problem and ask for some cream and if hes already given you some, get a new one and dont stop trying untill you find something that works!

no one should have to deal with acne, iv had it in the past and no matter what skin care products say they will do at the end of the day its because they want you to buy their products and the stuff prescribed by doctors is from doctors for a reason- its way stronger (and better!)

dont stop a daily facial routine though, maybe stop using neutrogena and try a different brand, get a face wash, exfoliator for a weekly scrub and a good moisturiser and use once a day and combined with the doctors acne cream your skin should be miles better

i would recommend st.ives apricot scrub and palmers cocoa butter, this is what i use, theyre both really cheap and do the job just as well as the more expensive ones
Reply:there's lots of stuff like proactive (which sucks) and stuff at the drugstore you can buy over the counter. if none of that works, talk to a dermatologist. they can give out perscriptions if you're willing to pay. acutane really works well, but it's expensive, and it also makes your skin SUPER dry (which is the point) but there is other stuff you can take too.
Reply:You can try clay %26amp; tea tree oil soap or a dandruff shampoo

Reply:Based on my own experience in uni, I would probably suggest looking at your diet and lifestyle... As much fun as it is to go out drinking most nights and eating convenience food, it generally clogs pores.... I had it when i first started uni and again now that ive moved to london and, for me, it's because im burning the candle at both ends!

I would probably suggest:

-doing a d.i.y facial every week

-using a deep heating face mask every week

-doing some exercise- get your blood pumping! (When i was at my most fittest, my skin was literally glowing- best thing ever for skin!)

-using oil free foundation (personally, if it's not full blown acne, i'd recommend using a tinted moisturiser instead- I use Clinique almost Makeup).

If it is down to your current lifestyle (as mine was) then it's basically a case of suck it up and live with it and carry on burning the candle (that's what i did!!) or make some changes....

Good luck tho and if it does get really bad, speak to your GP who can give you some prescription cream...

What skin care products work for acne prone skin?

if have a few pimples here and there, but im 11 years old so what r good products to keep my face vibrant, acne free, and fesh looking.

What skin care products work for acne prone skin?
if you are 11 years old, you should not be using too many skin care products already as your skin is still very fresh and young. Drink lots of fruit juices and lots of water ( best natural cleanser for your body!), especially if it's hot outside. cleanse your face and neck in the morning and at night with a light facial wash which is soap free, try brands like Cetaphil Gentle Daily Cleanser or Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser if you wear makeup. If you sweat a lot during the daytime, it is probably a good idea to cleanse during the day too. After you cleanse your face, you can apply a little, light facial moisturiser, if you need any , or only to the areas of your face that are dry.

In general, try to eat healthy, get enough rest and exercise and try to maintain a positive attitude. Remember you might be going through puberty now and breakouts at this time are very normal, so don't fuss to much. Just let your body do it's thing and the stage will pass eventually. Enjoy your life!

Reply:Proactive...i'm using it right now and they work wonders.
Reply:Proactiv is the only thing I have found that works. I have tried every thing that claims to clear your face up. And pimples can be caused by stress, things you eat, and hormones. So just washing your face sometimes isnt enough. If it bothers you, or gets really bad then you may need to see a dermatologist, but since you are so young and 11, it is probably just hormones, which there is not alot you can do about it. Just hang in there, and most of the time they just go away after you get older.

Reply:I had acne and i found that when i used soaps that focused on treating the acne, it made it worse..so i stick to using simply olay face cleanser..its worked wonders for me and its inexpensive and you can get it at any drug store.

Also...eat healthy and drink lots of water and exercise..it will clear your pores
Reply:HI Hunny. I'll wh make it sweet and simple.

Reply:Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

Reply:Use pure tea tree oil.Which can be found in bottles at a pharmacy or drug store.Using tea tree oil is one of the best ways to stop your acne problem!

Reply:I use Serious Skin Care for acne. It is wonderful. It started clearing my acne almost immediately, and it keeps may acne-prone complexion clear.

I have had acne since my early teens, I consider it the very best thing on the market.
Reply:Hey baby, this is the age when usually people get these skin disorders like acne, pimples etc. First point to note is are your eating habits the cause, next is how much care do you take for your skin.

I would recommend for you acne treatment from zenmed which is all natural and doctor formulated.

Acne skin care products at sephora pleasee help??

I was just looking at the sephora website, and there are ALOT of different skincare products under oil/blemish control but I have no idea which is good... I have tried the Murad cleanser and it was O.K. but not great...didn't help much. I'm looking for something new and I was wondering if anyone has tried them and can help me out? I'm desperate %26gt;.%26lt;

Acne skin care products at sephora pleasee help??
try proactive...
Reply:Murads or proactiv solution didn't work for me. I don't know if it'll work for you but I now use clean %26amp; clear acne advantage and my skin is beautiful now. I look back in disappointment on all of the money I wasted on that crap that didn't work. So I would say try something milder and cheaper they usually work.

Reply:proactiv
Reply:clear skin face wash
Reply:Proactive...i'm using it right now and they work wonders.
Reply:Proactiv is the only thing I have found that works. I have tried every thing that claims to clear your face up. And pimples can be caused by stress, things you eat, and hormones. So just washing your face sometimes isnt enough. If it bothers you, or gets really bad then you may need to see a dermatologist, but since you are so young and 11, it is probably just hormones, which there is not alot you can do about it. Just hang in there, and most of the time they just go away after you get older.
Reply:clean and clear or phisoderm face wash. cetaphil works also. but clean and clear is my top choice

Do skin care products really helps to solve oily skin and acne problem forever?

Which of the products you would recommend especially those who have acne before and now all gone forever?

Do skin care products really helps to solve oily skin and acne problem forever?
It helps but not forever. To maintain your skin, 40% is on the outer and 60% is on internal. So maintain your diet, lots of water, enough sleep, acne is just another form of detoxing from our body. Your liver might not be working very well. But this is just one possiblility, don't get too worried.

Cheaper products do help but its normally for a short period of time, better products cost higher but tends to work better and last longer.
Reply:Only if you plan on using them forever. When you stop the problem usually comes back.
Reply:To get rid of most acne start taking Chelated Zinc 50-90 mg daily. It'll clear up your skin in a few weeks. It has to be chelated or it won't work.
Reply:No they dont, thats all your genes and what you eat/drink. Learn your skin type and see what product reacts best. some products can dry your skin and make it crack and some may irritate sensitive skin. I found drinking lots of water helps the most and washing your face in the morning, middle of the day, and before bed; at least twice a day helps. Also touching your face alot helps to irritate your skin, Just like for babies when strangers pinch their cheeks and they break out because the stranger didnt wash his hands after his ride on the New york city subway(For Say). Dont go out there and buy every product to see what works best, read the labels and know what you need.

Skin care products??

i'm currently using clinique 3-step. but i'm not seeing the results i want. is there a better face wash that will help me. i want something that will make my skin smooth, and help clear acne. i have rather oily skin too if that helps your answer at all... please help!

- i've also tried proactive and it didn't work so please don't say proactive

Skin care products??
Personally, I love Arbonne! I started using Arbonne's revolutionary NutriMinC Re9 Anti-Aging system last year (hydrating wash, balancing toner, facial serum, transforming lift, corrective eye cream, day creme, and night creme). They also have a great Intelligence line for teens (without anti-aging elements) that you might find beneficial. Arbonne's products are pure, safe, beneficial, hypoallergenic, pH correct, botanically-based products that are formulated with 9 key anti-aging elements. Arbonne does not use alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, animal products and bi products, or mineral oil in any of their products which makes me feel good. I know that I'm using a natural system with maximum benefits. The systems also formulated with nanosphere technology. Nanosphere technology helps products to adjust to specific needs (applying more moisture in dry areas and less in oily areas). The anti-aging system is great for all ages and skin types and is specifically formulated to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, the affects of sun damage, and combat the visual signs of aging. Research shows that 6 months continued use of Arbonne's Re9 system gives a 68% decrease in deep density lines and wrinkles. However, I noticed results within a week or two. My skin was much more hydrated and healthy. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.
Reply:Murad, it's an infromercial going on right now. i saw it a few days ago. I was given some as a "gift" from a friend of mine. saw results within a week. it's really good. it hydrates your skin. You want to use it ten times a day.... you should try it. The ACNE COMPLEX KIT is really good.
Reply:i use rubbing alcohol, and i also have oily skin, and i really helps.
Reply:your going to laugh buy a toothpaste with baking soda in it every other night lightly spread on your face as a mask and wait to dry sleep in it do this for awhile the 7 days straight works but dries out your skin toothpaste every other night wash off in morning apply a hemp lotion or aloe Vera daily
Reply:I also have oily skin, large pores and light to moderate acne. I used to use Neutrogena and it worked, but I recently switched to Biore products because I find it works better to fight acne by getting to the root of the problem ... my pores.

I used the Biore pore unclogging scrub and the astringent. The astringent is awesome and you can really feel it working because it gives your face a strong cooling sensation.

Biore is rather inexpensive at places like Target and Walmart, so I would suggest giving it a try. And if not, you probably will only waste about 10 bucks total between these two products.
Reply:fresh bird poo poo is the secret ingredient used by beautiful women before (but including) cleopatra. hook up with a chicken rancher or a neighbor with a parrot. or, get your own parrot or chicken.
Reply:wash your face in the morning and somthing like cleansing the face and at night just wash and wip baby wipes for face keep doing it and should work it work for me !! x
Reply:try using products from globalwellness. All natural products.
Reply:Clear.now is a three step system like proactiv but it works much better. You can get it at www.jewel.mychoices.biz

Someone suggested using toothpaste. Do NOT do this! It will dry out the acne but it can also burn your skin so you'll only be trading acne for red marks on your face. Not a good trade in my opinion.
Reply:You should try Mary Kay's 3 in 1 cleanser for oily skin...or if you are younger and not concerned with aging, you should try the Velocity. It is great for acne and for the oily skin...great product...
Reply:I also use Clinique 3 step #3.I think #2 can be very drying since it has Salysilic acid, and alcohol. What i do is use a different Jentle cleanser with a little bit of Salysilic acid. Then follow up with Cliniq's toner/Moisturizer.If ind this to work preety well.
Reply:Hi,

Clinique 3-step isn't meant for acne-prone skin. How long have you been using it? Realistically it takes up to 6 weeks to see results with *any* skincare regimen.

Seeing a dermatologist is probably your best bet because none of us on the internet can assess your skin type properly. Go before you get acne scars. Acne is controllable, you just need to find the right regimen.

If Proactiv didn't work for you, you probably need something more potent. Like I said, a dermatologist is your best bet. Maybe if your acne is bad enough you can get an Accutane prescription.
Reply:Have you heard of Arbonne? I use their nutrimin c re9

line and have enjoyed the results very much. I used to use the Clinique 3 step a long time ago. They make 3 various lines.

They also have an acne line as well -

What is nice is the products are natural and good for you -

I have combo. skin with some oily areas. You also have 45 days to return the items if they aren't for you.

Reply:I tried proactiv for 2years as well for my excessively oily skin and it didn't work of course. However, there is also another skin care line that is exclusive and worked better than any over-the-counter product I've ever used. It is just as expensive, and also mail-order but so worth it. My oily skin is under control and I seen results in a little under one month, but I felt the results immediately.

What skin care products do you recommend?

I have combination skin. and terrible acne, I've tried proactiv but it irritates my skin more, clean and clear irritates my skin, ACNE free doesn' t really do much. So what works?

What skin care products do you recommend?
If you could find a light face cream with tea tree oil in it I assure you you will be amazed by the results. Try you local health food store. I suspect your skin is very sensitive and this will help you greatly.

Reply:I know just how you feel! Pro-Active made my skin very dry and red. if you want an over the counter acne treatment then go for Clearasil daily wash and Stridex pads.
