What skin care products or routine(please dont tell me the 3 step one) can be used to get ultra smooth skin?

Currently I want my skin to be just a little bit lighter. At this moment I have pimples where my hair covers my forehead, a few pimple scars, oily skin on the forehead and nose, but dry everywhere else, and I also have quite sensitive skin. Please help~!

There are many different products from here that work great. At minimuim I would buy the bar soap, facial salt scrub, and mud mask. I use the bar soap every day, a few times a week, and the mask about every other week. They are great on sensitive skin!! May seem a little expensive at first, but I first bought my stuff in December and I'm no where near running out yet. And they always send free sample of their other products with every order.

Reply:Cetaphil, and Cetaphil only. My oily skin has cleared up completely and my complexion looks good. No more zits either. Try it! It's for sensitive skin too and cheap. Good luck!

Skin Care Professionals, would you rather be given a few blendable skin care products to....?

customize depending on the customer need or a lot of product for every skin type and purpose need? I think it's a matter of spending more money for convenience, or spending less and having to blend. What is your opinion? I'm trying to decide.

Skin care products!!!?

I always haven't had the best skin but not the worst either! It seems like any achne medication dries out my skin so I won't use it for a few days and my zits will just come back. Lotion and face creme don't work on my face they just burn it!!! I need an over the counter acne medication that works and I don't want you to say proactive because I really just want anover the counter medication without hvaing to go to the dermitoligist. Specific names of the ointments or medication or whatever plzz! Thanx!!!!

Skin care products!!!?
The products you are using, are they salycic acid or benzolyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Almost all washes have it. They try finding a face lotion with it in it. Clean and clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face. I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working!
Reply:I'm not sure there is an over the counter remedy. Our Derm Dr swears all the over the counter stuff is the same. Even so, experiment with differnet soaps because everyone is so unique.

i have a skin routine and it works absolutely positively amazing. I have super super clear skin.

Both in the morning and at night:

1. Wash face with warm water using saint ives facial scrub blemish blackhead control (since your skins is super super sensitive you might want to use gentle instead of blemish/blackhead control. all the st. ives products are amazing anyway)

2. cleanse face with clean%26amp;clear-astringent since your skin is sooo sensitive you may want to get the .5% salicylic acid version, salicyic acid helps clear up acne and blemishes. the .5% version is blue)

3. moisturize with clean and clear morning glow mosturizer (has spf)

all of these products can be found at cvs/riteaid/walgreens/eckerds or whatever drugstore you can go to. good luck!
Reply:try a regular lotion for body make sure for ur doctor what kind of things u r a allergic to go to a demertoligist
Reply:the best cream i have found is pond's cold cream!!! it was a life saver for me!! it really helps with the dry skin! my face use to be like that, my cheeks were really dry but my forehead was oily i started washing it with regular dial soap and using pond's and i haven't had a problem since!
Reply:we have very similar skin! i have very dark brown hair, dark eyes and pale skin (i register the lightest on bobbi brown foundation!) i even struggle with light acne. i also have oily t-zone and dryness around my face. it's annoying, i know! it makes finding products difficult. i wash my makeup off with neutrogena normal to oily fomula deep clean face wash. twice a week, in the shower, i wash my skin with clinique exfoliating scrub -- gentle but enough to clear off dead skin. daily though, i actually use the whole clinique skin care line (if you even think this may be an option) i would set up an appt. with them to go over the line. some of the products, in any cosmetic line, may not be right for everyone!

btw, for acne, i use benzaclin and it is a great and amazing product.

i have always had sensitive skin; i would breakout with face paint as a child and can only use hypo-allergenic products. clinique and neutrogena have been great on tough skin like mine!
Reply:My daughter is 14 and we have battled eczema for 14 years...I have researched and researched..the best products for your skin are natural ones...vitamin e oil, tea tree oil,

if you want a mask use oatmeal and baking soda and oil...cucumbers are really good for your eyes...sugar scrubs are good...light brown sugar and coconut oil or cocoa butter oil is good...tea tree oil is for breakouts and oily skin..
Reply:For dry skin, use a creamy cleanser to melt away dirt. Leave it on your skin before sweeping it away with cotton wool. Splash cold water onto your face to clean and refresh your skin. Use a thick cream moisturizer to seal in as much moisture as possible and have a refreshing feel.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...

What skin care products are excellent for very dry, scratchy skin?

I have tried a host of lotions, bath soaps, and creams but have yet to find anything that really works for me. I find that in the winter (of course) my skin is very dry and becomes itchy - what can I do to help alleviate this? Is there a product I should be using or a regimen I could follow that might help?

Thanks for your advice!

For face Roc is really good, its made for people with excema or psoriasis, so cleanser, toner and face cream each morning or night, You may also want to get an emoillent face scrub to use a few times a week

-also get a humidifer in your bedroom-not sure if you live in a cold climate like I do but that really helps bc the furnace drys your skin out like crazy and then going in the cold weather doesnt help

-for body, I like dove cream to oil body wash and using a glove exfoliater helps get rid of the dead skin so the lotions can do their job, i find that putting Baby Oil Gel or just baby oil on while im almost finshed my shower works and/or then a body cream with lactic acid in it

-change the detergent that you use to wash your clothes to something really gentle like Ivory, Tide is the worst especially for bath towels, bc there is still traces of it on the towel and when you dry yourself off after a shower your body heat almost reactivates it and it leaves a film on your skin
Reply:Aveeno products are the best for eveything, except acne.
Reply:i use aveeno..it works real well
Reply:I have eczema and I use:

-Hydrocortisone (0.5%) which is prescription, for my face.

-Betamethasone valerate cream which is prescription too, for body (it's stronger).

-Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula for everyday use (you can get it anywhere)

-Dermol 200 Shower Emollient.

IMO, these are the best.

Hope I've helped you (:
Reply:Sanex body wash is brilliant.

Proactive Skin Care Products help?

I have been using Proactive for a while now and I have yet to see any results. I know for a lot of people, your skin gets worse before it gets better. But I've been using it long enough to where it should be getting better by now. Am I using it wrong? I wear makeup and the Proactive doesn't get all of the makeup off, so before I use the product, I wash my face with antibacterial soap. Am I washing my face too much? I do this little routine when I get up in the morning and right before I go to bed at night. What can I do to clear my skin up? I don't exactly have acne, but I get red splotches all over around my chin and on my cheeks, kind of close to my mouth area. And suggestions on how to get rid of this?

If you don't have acne this will definitely not work for you.

Even if you do have acne, this may not work for you. I've heard from friends that it worked for them, but it didn't for me.

My best advice is to see a dermatologist. He/she would be able to tell you what the red splotches are and how best to treat them.
Reply:medicated cream
Reply:Try to clean it w/ alcohol before you go to bed and a mild soap in the mornings
Reply:I have found that Nivea face wash and toner work really well together. I think the Pro-Activ may be too harsh for your skin -- it really dries out your skin.

Good luck!
Reply:try to call proactiv i used it too and i saw results 3 weeks after i started using it. if you call them maybe the can recomend there makeup thingy...
Reply:lemon juice dries it out.

If you have bad acne see a dermatologist and they procribe a medicine I cant remember the name right now but it makes you never have another pimple but it can cause depression, its a serious medication.
Reply:i used it too and the 'clearing effects' that it did cause were not worth the $40 i was paying. you're better off using a drug store product (a good one i found was Ambi by johnson and johnson, they made a great facial scrub)
Reply:Proactive didn't work me either. I used it for over 6 months with no success. All it did for me was dry my face out.

Everyone I know hasn't had success with it. I have read on here that people have had it work for them. I guess it just depends on your skin type or the kind of acne you are getting.

You should visit your dermatologist and see what they can do for your skin. I'm sure they will be able to help you.

Good Luck!!

Skin Care Products?

How do i use these to face products everyday? do i use them both at the same time?

The Products.

2.http://cetaphil.com/Products/Default.asp... (the daily face cleanser)

Skin Care Products?
Both are cleansers so you don't need them both. Pick any one depending on whether you like to scrub or just wash with a foaming gel. Personally I like neutrogena.
Reply:Well they are both cleanser so there is really no need to have both of them. I have the Neutrogena mask and you can use it as a cleanser or if you leave it on it becomes a deep cleaning mask. It's pretty cool. I would recommend just using it. You don't need two different types of cleanser.
Reply:Use them daily. The neutrogena is a tough cleanser that will strip moisture but keep your pores cleaned out- cetaphil is a very gentle cleanser that also adds moisture. I would use the Neutrogena at night follwed with a lotion. In the morning use Cetaphil cleanser before make up.... it will make your skin really soft!
