i have a pretty uneven complexion, very oily T-zone, super dry cheeks/nose, and frequent breakouts. i found that benzoyl peroxide works a lot better for me than salicilyc acid %26amp; i've been using proactiv for awhile now but it just sort of stopped working %26amp; i can't afford it anymore lol. i really want to even out my complexion, shrink my pores, clear up the acne/oil, and get rid of the flaky dry skin on my cheeks %26amp; around my mouth/nose.
What are some really good skin-care products %26amp; tips for my skin type... i'm getting desperate?
ive used proactive, but like you said, after a good solid 2 weeks of nice skin, you become immune.. you said you cant afford it anymore, and this is more expensive, but my toubles are solved-- go to the dermatologist.. i use retin A micro at night and a similar product in the morning.. they go together and ask the doctor.. just go one time to get the perscription.. check ups a bull, if your happy with your face you dont need one
Reply:If your skin has different zones, I would highly recommend the Intelligence line from Arbonne International. Products are formulated in Switzerland and made in the USA. An order lasts 4-6 months.
Reply:Use a wash cloth on your face when you shower--use it like a buffing cloth. Put a little vaseline all over your face and neck in the a.m. and p.m. after you shower--that is all you need.
Reply:OK YOU HAVE TO TRY A SOAP CALLED FLORA FROM NATURAL HERBS IN EL GRULLO MEXICO....IT HELPS WITH ACNE AND MAKES FACE LIGHTER AND TIGHTER..
Reply:I have had terrible combination skin that was oily and flaky and have found that the only thing that works for me is the Murad skincare line. You can google it. A starter kit is $30.
It is the ONLY thing that has worked for me and trust me, I've tried it all.
What also helps alot is to drink reverse osmosis water and aloe vera juice and noni juice (health food stores) I like L'Bri Pure and Natural juice that combines the two. Best of luck!
Reply:Go to http://www.acne.org and follow the regimen explained there, which calls for products that have benzoyl peroxide, but a specific percentage of it. It provides a list of several products that you can find at most drug stores with a range of prices and variety of brands. I tried Proactiv too, and, similarly, it worked briefly, then stopped working. I'd say try this and it should make a significant difference.
If you can't find the products page right away, here it is:

home remedy wud do...
Here's some idea
Water: It's true that gulping down loads of water will help your skin look its prettiest. "Water helps your skin by getting by-products out of your body," says Ryba. By drinking lots of water, you're helping your kidneys function better, which in turn helps skin avoid a sallow, tired look.
•Salmon, flaxseed, and avocado: All contain omega-3 fatty acids, compounds that help reduce inflammation in the body. That reduction in inflammation helps combat problems like puffy eyes, pronounced fine lines, and sagging skin. Be sure to buy wild -- not farmed -- salmon, to get the best fatty acids. Grind your flaxseeds before sprinkling them on yogurt or cereal for the most benefit.
•Berries and melon: Both are low-sugar fruits and help to make skin firm and taut. It's important to avoid high-sugar foods, including high-sugar fruits like pineapple and banana. "[Foods with a lot of sugar] cause your blood sugar to rise, which makes insulin come into your system and sets off a chain of hormonal reactions," says Ryba. Those hormonal reactions can make your body retain water and increase inflammation, both of which contribute to puffiness and tired-looking skin.
•Nuts and wheat germ: Both are chock-full of biotin, a nutrient known for making hair and nails strong and resilient.
Reply:Do you have Garnier Fructisse there? Try that my daughter swears by it and you would have a hard time finding a more blonde fair skinned child.
Reply:I use Bare Minerals. You have probably seen them advertised on tv infomercials. My face does not break out near as bad as it used to and the price is about the same imo. Plus you get a starter kit when you order that has brushes and everything. So it really is a good deal. I think it is around $60 for two colors of foundation, a setting powder, and a color that makes you look like you have been in the sun a bit (to be used very little of at a time) I just got my kit in February and I think it is great.
Reply:Estee Lauder. You can even try Biotherm. Both more gentle on the skin than Clinique

Would you reccamend the MILK skin care products?
I've used their hand lotion...it's pretty good. Not familiar with their other products.
Reply:I have sensitive skin, and they broke me out!
Reply:I really like their face wash. It feels tinglyyy!
Reply:I've never used them on my face or hair but I have as body lotion. Actually I love their body lotion because it's really cheap and I smother my entire body in it twice each day after showering. My whole body is always full of moisture and my skin feels very healthy!

What is a good line of skin care products?
My skin is acne prone and I have an oily T-zone. I need something gentle yet effective and won't dry my skin out.
What is a good line of skin care products?
Have you heard of Arbonne they have skin products for every type of skin. I am getting a lot of good feedback on these products and I myself love them. I have sensitive and combination skin so I have tried pratically all the products out there until someone introduced me to Arbonne and I love them..... again everyone has their own preferences!
The products are :
*botanically based
*ph correct
*hypoallergenic
*dermatologist tested
*never tested on animals
*formulated without animcal products or by-products
*formualted without mineral: occlusive oil can interfere with skin functions as well as advanced delivery systems
*formulated without dyes or chemical fragrances
These products are wonderful because they don't strip the skin especially from harsh alcohols and chemicals.
My recommendation from this line is using the Intelligence Line or their Anti-aging line that is great for Normal to Oily skin for acne there is Clear Advantage 4 system that works great too.
Did you know "Peppermint" helps to open pores and allows them to be cleansed from the inside. This means pores appear to be smaller giving you a more youthful appearance.
check out the website for more amazing products: www.arbonne.ca and you can also see the before and after pics too. http://www.arbonne.ca/company/opportunit...

Reply:I have similar skin and use neutrogena deep clean face wash and oil of olay moisturizer - works wonders! Plus, you can find them at wal-mart or pharmacies for CHEAP!
Reply:Anything from neutrogena! There soapwash stuff is awesome.
Reply:Neutrogena's great. I also use proacvtive, but I stopped using it for a while because it dried out the skin underneath my eyebrows causing it to flake. A few months ago I started using it again but it seems to have lost its effect on my skin. I'm holding out though just in case. Good luck!

Reply:Panoxyl is the best.
Reply:Mary Kay - I started selling the product a few months ago %26amp; all of my customers absolutely love the results, especially my teenage sister, who has acne and an oily face. Let me know if you'd like to try the oil free makeup remover (it helps to remove makeup before bed) or the acne cream.
Reply:I just recieved my new Clinique Acne Solutions from ordering it online. I have always loved Clinique, but I started to break out and I saw that they came out with new Acne system so I had to try it. I love it. It isn't as harsh as Proactiv because it's soap/toner are made with salysic acid. The 3rd step is a benzoyl peroxide lotion and that's what really treats blemishes.
I have naturally normal/oily skin and when I wake up my skin is really oily. Only a week ago I got it and since then i've woken up with dramatically less-oily skin and my blemishes are going away and my skin isn't dry.

Reply:I have 3 daughters, ages 18, 16 and 13. They all have different skin types and all have problems with acne and breakouts. The severity also ranges from mild to heavy breakouts. I came across a product that is all naturally based, no chemicals, no additives and not toxic. It is very mild, non drying, and I have seen the best results with this product like I have not seen with all the multiple acne medications we have tried. (GIRLS) What are the best skin care products?
To keep your skin soft and keep it healthy?
And what do you use for your face to keep it from breaking out and to look nice?
Note: I have kind of sensitive skin and my skin is healthy, I just want to know different kinds to use. :)
(GIRLS) What are the best skin care products?
I use St. Ives, though my skin is oily. I use their apricot scrub every other day and wash my face morning and nights every day. The days I don't use the scrub, I use Dove's face pillows (wonderful things!). Once a week I use a sugar mask to remove the built up skin and surface blackheads--it leaves my skin glowing and so soft! As far as lotion goes, I juse regular old Dove lotion after washing/peeling my face. Nothing special, but it works wonderfully for me--my face is always soft and rarely do I have any blemishes!
Reply:I've always used Cetaphil %26amp; St. Ives usually.
Reply:The Body Shop aloe line is great!
Reply:I use the Clinique 3-step skincare system. But I modify it to the 2-step system. :) I don't like step 3 (the lotion) and prefer to use oil of olay only under my eyes, and only at night. Their system is great because their are 4 different options, depending if your skin is oily, sensitive, dry, etc.
Reply:I always use Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead moisturizer......it's really keeps my face balanced (not too oily or dry)
Reply:Um well there are a couple of things.
The 2 best ones that i have used an that seem to work are nutragena %26amp; aveeno.
If u want to make ur skin feel really smooth try aveeno ultra-calming foam wash.
Use a basic face wash %26amp; then use the foam wash %26amp; ur skin should feel super smooth!
Reply:Well for my face, the best thing I ever used was Proactiv. I have never really had too many breakouts throughout my life, but one time in particular I did, and used Proactiv and it cleared up within a week or so. It was insane. I never believe those commericals but for that, it WORKED. It can get expensive though...
If you are looking for something a little cheaper, I use Clean%26amp;Clear astringent now, and Noxema facewash - works awesome and I get about one pimple every few months *knock on wood*. In case age plays a factor in skin type, I am almost 23.
As for my body, I love Body Shop stuff... the scrubs and body butters are awesome, but you can get really similar stuff even at Walmart that works almost just as good, just doesnt smell as nice.
Anyways, I hope this helped a bit!
:)
Reply:Clearasil daily face wash= The best.
Reply:Mary Kay for the face and the body, they can customize for your individual needs
Reply:Dermalogica. I have sensitive skin... It's worked wonders for me!
Reply:i have sensitive skin so i use Vaseline it works and keeps ur skin nice and soft.I hopped that help u.
Reply:try using proactive but if that does not work on you try neutragina oil free acne wash
Reply:I like St. Ives's Oatmeal and Shea Butter lotion right now for my body.
As for my face, the best I've found is Sheseido. But since I can't afford it usually, I like Biore's face wash, clean %26amp; clear's blue toner (for sensitive skin), and a moisturizer with sunscreen (usually Neutrogena or clean %26amp; clear). Once a week or whenever I remember, I use a mask or pore strip (Biore's pore strips or Noxema's face mask).

Top rated facial skin care products?
Combination to dry skin
top sellers
Top rated facial skin care products?
We are number 1 in Skin Care AND top ten in Color Cosmetics for the last 10 years US
Try the Mary Kay skin care line with customized skin care products for acne etc. The best thing to with your skin is always to keep it clean as well as treating breakouts. This helps prevent breakouts and other issues.
There are five steps to basic skin care:
1. Cleanse
2. Exfoliate
3. Tone/Freshen
4. Moisturize
5. Protect
The Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser can do the first three steps in one. The fifth step is protect. You want to use an oil free foundation which our formulas for dry normal combo and oily skin are all oil free. When your skin is protected with foundation you can wash off the impurities that your skin catches in the air. The foundation catches the irritants and impurities instead of them getting into your pores causing further breakouts. Mary Kay is satisfaction guaranteed. So if you try it and it doesnt work for you you can get different products or your money back.
Also it is so important that when you are using skin care you use one line be it Mary Kay or Avon or a Walmart brand. They are formulated to work with one another. Mixing products not designed to work together can cause reactions in some people. ;)
To even out skin tone you of course need to keep your skin exfoliated but also use a solution like our day and night solution. The day solution has SPF 25 in it and the Night Solution has Vitamin A and E and more in them. These collagen inducing products help to tighten and firm the skin as well as even out tone. You can add in our Microdermabrasion once or twice a week to totally exfoliate and remove dead skin. The second step of our microderm set will return your skin to its proper PH balance so you will not be rough or dry afterwards.
I reccomend using products as follows but all skin care must be customized for an individual.
Timewise 3 in 1 Cleanser (customized for skin type)
Timewise Day Solution (at night use Night Solution)
Timewise Moisturizer (customized for skin type)
Timewise Firming Eye cream
Additional moisturizers if needed(intense for dry spots etc)
Foundation (customized for skin type and shade)
Color products (use all oil free and non-comedogenic)
Hope this was helpful!!

Any suggestions on skin care products for eczema?
My son, daughter and husband have it. I have been bathing the kids in Dove and using an ointment the dermatologist prescribed but it doesn't seem to work. The ointment also discolors their skin. I would like to try something more natural.
Any suggestions on skin care products for eczema?
Any plain oil- coconut, almond.
Care
* Know your triggers: Find out what substances act as triggers of your eczema. Keep away from triggers. You will be saving yourself a big amount of trouble. Sometimes, a food may be causing the flare-up. Eliminating that food from your diet can control the eczema without any medication. Weather changes, overheating, excess sweating, allergens such as dust mites are the possible triggers. Discuss all the possibilities with your doctor and eliminate them.
* Keep skin well moisturized round the year. Well moisturized skin creates lesser complications of eczema. Dry skin itself can trigger eczema sometimes.
* Don't scratch. Scratching will form a vicious cycle. The more you scratch, the more eczema will deteriorate and the more you will scratch. Break this cycle. Ask your doctor about any antihistamines that you can take to stop itching. Apply cool compress to soothe the itch.
* Avoid use of skin care products with fragrance, dyes, anti-bacterials, etc. These may irritate your skin and begin a flare-up of eczema. Use a plain cleanser and moisturizer to keep skin clean and moist.
* Avoid wearing any clothes that may itch. Cotton is best for clothing and bed sheets.
Reply:Me and my dad both have it, and his dermatologist told him to get some sun. Of course you don't want to expose your children to sun for too long. But a little sun could help clear it up for a while. It's the only thing that has helped me and my dad keep it under control. Hope it helps.
Reply:This probably sounds crazy, but my daughter swam this summer in an indoor swimming pool and something in that water made her eczema clear-up completely. I don't know but it could have been the chlorine. I do not know.
Reply:Have you tried Aveeno and Eucerin lotions and products? Me and my family have it too, and it works wonders for our skin. And instead of Dove, maybe try Ivory. We use Ivory sometimes, and I haven't had any complaints.
Reply:I have eczema as well and it always feels like nothing will help it lol. Make sure that the laundry detergent and the fabric softener are non-scent, that will help a lot. As for a natural solution, try going to an natural pharmacy or talk to your pharmacist, they usually know a lot and what actually works.
Reply:Try using an oatmeal bath. Both of my children have eczema and while it doesn't cure it, the oatmeal bath helps reduce the redness and bumps. They are sold in packs at most stores.
Reply:my baby girl has mild eczema and the dermo prescribed Epizone E. works from the first application!!! the ultimate solution is Zam Zam Water.
Reply:Get a copy of Adelle Davis's book Let's Get Well (Alibris has them). It has a good explanation of eczema and how to deal with it.
Reply:i heard that cream E45 or Aqueous Cream specify for that condition
Reply:You can assist your immune system to heal your skin naturally by avoiding using soap (shampoo, detergent, etc.). Instead, try to find a colloidal oatmeal containing soap-free wash for body and face and a shampoo containing the same ingredient. Aveeno or Equate both make those type of products. The other thing is to reduce your exposure to hot water. That means short (5 mins max) showers and no baths. Soap and hot water combine to remove sebum from the pores of the skin and deep into the sebaceous glands, inhibiting sebum production causing dryness and itchiness. Sebaceous glands are controlled by hormones and the immune system, which wheatgrass appears to strengthen naturally. Apply the Dr Wheatgrass Recovery Cream twice daily or more often if necessary. As well as strengthening the skin's immunity, biological actives from the wheatgrass are absorbed into the body and in time, the patient’s immune status becomes stronger. Please see the website for more information or ask Dr. Reynolds a question regarding your specific symptoms.
